The time of the tide is

not always the same.

It flows and rises and sleeps

as it may and never loses its power.

So, when you tell me that

my unwillingness of distorting

what needs attention is

convenience at disposal,

I probably need some time.

The urgency of fixing what’s broken

cannot and should not cause

more discomfort than the damage itself.

Sometimes we just need

to let people be

understand that they breathe too,

that they have stories we

haven’t lived, that they

have roles we have the privilege

of not playing, that they

love and forgive and suffer like

everyone else.

Only if we could let it sink in that

the personal manifests into a voice

at its time, at its pace, in its own design…

After all we are all tides,

flowing and rising and sleeping

yet never losing the power!
